They do different jobs and can work together. Microsoft 365 provides applications and services such as email, Teams and SharePoint. A hosted desktop provides a centrally managed Windows environment for the applications and data your team uses.
If your business runs comfortably on managed laptops and cloud services, a full hosted desktop may not be necessary. If shared desktop applications or databases are central to your work, it may be a good fit.
